Last week, the world’s largest airline, Emirates Airline Group, celebrated its grand opening ceremony for its new Aviation Innovation and Technology Center. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, all distinguished guests witnessed a perfect fusion of modern technology and traditional ceremony. Cloud Ginger, a humanoid robot from Dataa Robotics, added highlights and excitement to the event. It used its highly automated and intelligent capabilities to assist chairman and CEO of Emirates Airlines, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum in cutting the ribbon at the ceremony.

The Emirates Group Innovation Center is named after the Arabic "Ebdaa" (meaning "creativity") and is located at the UAE Pavilion of the 2020  Expo Dubai. It aims to promote innovation and development in the aviation industry. At the event, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum unveiled the Ebdaa Aviation Innovation Center. Reem Al Hashemi, currently a member of the UAE Cabinet and Minister of State for International Cooperation attended the cutting-ribbon ceremony with other guests including the Dubai Future Foundation, the Police, the General Civil Aviation Authority, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, as well as Dubai Aviation executives and partners. As one of the partners, Dataa supports the Emirates Group in establishing and displaying the Ebdaa Aviation Innovation Center, and sent Cloud Ginger to act as the hostess to assist His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum to cutt the ribbon. This was the official debut of Cloud Ginger in the UAE, which attracted widespread attention and got a lot of discussions as well.

It will work with Dubai Future Laboratory and leading companies in the field of robotics to jointly develop the first artificial intelligence customer support robot. These innovative technologies will improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the passenger flying experience of the aviation industry.
