On March 3, the 83rd High-Level Talent Exchange Conference and "Friday Black Tea Party" were successfully held in ICC Hengqin International Business Center. The event was organized by the Economic Development Bureau of Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone and undertaken by Zhuhai Dahengqin Development Co., LTD. It attracted about 50 teachers and students from Macao universities, business representatives and high-level talents from the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as the Cooperation Zone) and Zhuhai City. Wang Bin, vice president of Dataa Robotics, was invited to participate in the conference and delivered a speech on "Cloud Robots and General Artificial Intelligence".

General AI is coming

At the event, Wang Bin shared the current situation of cloud robots industry. He mentioned that the emergence of a new generation AI technology lately marked by ChatGPT indicates that general artificial intelligence is coming, and social development will enter a new era.

 "The ultimate goal of robot development is to enable a robot to achieve thinking and movement abilities close to human beings, reaching the level of artificial general intelligence (AGI). However, AI based on pre-trained large models requires huge computing power and data, which can not be realized in the robot itself with our current technical capabilities. A more scientific and effective way is to build a cloud robot system of "cloud-network-terminal", use a powerful cloud brain to undertake massive computing work, and pass high-speed and reliable networks providing robots with the intelligence they need," Wang Bin said.

He introduced that Dataa Robotics, a technology company founded in 2015, has a deep technical accumulation in cloud brain operating system, cloud computing, human-computer fusion intelligence, digital twin, network security technology, blockchain, and robot flexible joints and has formed a technical barrier in the field of "cloud intelligent robots". Through the construction of the leading cloud brain operating system HARIX OS and the open cloud robot ecosystem, various multi-modal AI algorithm models and services will empower robots. In addition, Dataa's diversified technology platforms, such as the cloud-based robot digital twin platform, robot teaching and learning system, robot operation management platform and open source robot skill development platform have laid a solid foundation for robots to be put into broader application fields.

The "Regulations on Promotion of the Development of Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone" implemented on March 1 clearly propose supporting the cooperation zone to develop AI industries, build an artificial intelligence collaborative innovation ecosystem, and promote big data, AI, Internet of Things and other enabling entities economic and urban development, creating a next-generation internet industry cluster.

"In this era, we need to seize opportunities, rely on various policies and resource advantages provided by the country, Guangdong Province, and cooperation zones, using cloud robots and general AI technology to develop more new ecological systems and promote the high-quality development of the industry." Wang Bin said. 

According to reports, this event provides a platform for the exchange of localized resources for high-level talents who have innovated and started businesses in the cooperation zone, and those who intend to bring projects to the cooperation zone. Additionally, a technology and product display platform has been built for talent projects, which will accelerate the gathering of talents in the cooperation zone and create a good atmosphere for talent exchanges, thereby further promoting the development of innovation and entrepreneurship.
